These Aphron/LSRV fluids are non-damaging and are highly suitable for use as "drill-in fluids" where minimizing formation damage is of primary concern. The effectiveness of these fluids in preventing any type of fluid invasion without the use of solids is highly unique. These fluids fit well with current interest and development of underbalanced drilling techniques. The fluids are also unique in that they can provide low-density fluids without the intentional addition of gases.

These fluids are also suitable as drilling fluids and workover and completion fluids.

The new technology developed by ActiSystems, Inc. is referred to as Aphron Fluids, Micro-bubble Fluids or Bubble Mud. Supplemental additives to enhance the temperature stability of the polymers and enhance shale stabilization are included as part of the package.

The systems have been successfully and widely tested on a number of wells throughout the world. Several patent applications have been made and others are in progress to protect the development.
